BURLESQUE: PICTURES; NEWS AND CHANGES

Some time ago Vera De Vil I had the pleasure of doing an oriental inspired shoot with Kaylin Idora while she was here from New Orelans!

You can view the whole set here.

And, speaking of New Orelans, as some of you know I will be going there this summer! Trahsy Diva live shopping, yey!

I will also visit Austin and Miami, at least. But most of all; Las Vegas! As many of you also know already that is beacuse The Itty-Bitty Tease Cabaret will be performing at the Burlesque Hall of Fame in June!

...and whilst speaking of burlesque again, the Itty-Bitty Tease has some new times ahead after Vegas and it's official today: you can read about the changes in our Bitty-blog!

But, back to the pictures; Tinker Bell also did a rather magical outdoor shoot with Kaylin, the set can be seen here.

COME TO FINLAND!

Posters and postcards from the Come To Finland book; a book about vintage travel posters for Finland. I love old travel posters, and well, old posters in general. It's also interesting to see branding for Finland from back in the days.

You can browse the book as a whole online - I found some posters I remember form my childhood that were on the walls of our summerhouse (they still are actually). You can buy the posters and cards separately too, but I'll go for the book (and I actually intend to get it now, and not wait for some years like I unintentionally did with the Jaffas...)

EDIT : I have to add, as I realized many of you do not know; it's interesting and a bit sad too perhaps to see the poster for Wiipuri - Finland lost that big and old city to Soviet after the war, and tens of thousands of people had to leave their homes, buildings and businesses behind. Some of my family lived there in the early 1900's too.

BERLIN pt.3; WALKING AROUND X-BERG AND THEN HOME

I bought a couple of vintage dresses, this is one of them.

And Eddi bought a pair of vintage shoes. From Made in Berlin/Kledermarkt. (I liked the one on Friedrichstraße better, although I suppose the one on Neuer Schönhauser Str. is "cooler").

Contrasts.

Cola.

Nice sunset when flying home over the archipelago.

And I spotted a heart-shaped cloud!

BERLIN pt.2; MOSTLY MITTE

(Random window stuff.)

I met up with Frollein von Sofa for lunch and then we stopped by the boutique she works in.

They sell items form a couple of designers but you can get her hats there too! Apart from the accessories I liked their mens' clothing the most. (Here.)

Frollein's dog Woody is a really good poser.

Mirror shot-1.

Eddi and I stopped for random beers at a courtyard on Oranienburger Strasse. There was an kind of outdoor gallery/exhibition around the corner too. All rather hippie-ish and full of curious tourists.

Quite the contrast to another courtyard a bit further down the street - green and calm like in a little town. We had some wine by the fountain there.

And visited Sterling Gold, a vintage gown paradise that recommended by Frollein von Sofa. Not exactly for everyday shopping though, mostly eye candy.

We went for dinner and ended up at Cafe V by Lausitzer Platz back in Kreutzberg - great food, worth a visit. But as I have no pictures of that this mirror-shot 2 (why does one take pictures like this and why does one also force poor boyfriend into it?) will have to do.

BERLIN pt.1; IN A RATHER RAINY BERLIN

In Kreuzerg. I've always stayed in Kreuzberg when in Berlin, since my friends live there.

Dinner at Izu's place. She moved to Berlin a couple of years ago. She's a painter and just had her first solo exhibition over there, still running for a couple of days from now. (Here.)

Getting blurry at Maria Pelegro later on.

Vegan burgers for breakfast the day after. (Here.)

This litte birdie ate out of my hand. I know some find that disgusting but I find it cute.

And look! I was actually wearing flats. Hell might have frozen over a little bit or so...

Hiding from the rain, Kreutzberg edition. (Here.)

In Prenzlauer Berg.

Waffles at Kauf Dich Glücklih. There are two of them, one on Oderberger Str. and another on Kastanien Allee. You can shop at the later one too.

Hiding from the rain, Prenzlauer Berg edition.

Hell froze over again! Eddi actually did more shopping than I! (Well, I actually did none the first days so he didn't really go that bazookas either.)

Back in Kreutzberg.

SOME HOURS AT SEA AND SOME HOURS IN STOCKHOLM

We went on a cruise to Stockholm with Eddi and his two children.

I took the boys up to the bridge to look at all the buttons and screens there and to see how they steer a big ship. The other boys on board don't get to see that.

Many buttons, many switches.

(This one here is just about my hair.)

I took some pictures of other ships trough the binoculars on the bridge. Lomo effect!

The next day in Stockholm felt pretty cold as it was 37 degrees C (!) at home in Finland (!!!) and "only" a mere 20-something in Sweden. I wore long sleeves for the first time in ages!

We went to Gröna Lund.

I am clearly becoming old as I prefer the small flying elephants to any other attraction with more action than that. They just spin too much.

In the afternoon we took the small ferry back to town and our ship and it was windy as hell. (I hate it when it's windy. But at least it's a little funnier with a big skirt on since it goes "flufff!" all the time.)

A swedish mermaid.

Sunset at sea, on the way home.
